By linking datasets, the user determines which records in each data source belong to the same individuals, i.e., when the data does not share a common identifier. To maintain privacy, all linking is performed with encrypted identifying information.
Using the virtual dataset created with HDI, a user can perform a query on linked CRC surgical data and chemotherapy data to get a dataset of information on CRC patients, their current status and their chemotherapy treatments.
